Auction Ended locates fine art prints’ value and the space they inhabit with the contemporary public, that is, in the secondhand online auction market of Goodwill International. I am informed by the lifecycle of printed objects and their refining of values as a historically ‘democratized’ medium yet distributed under a highly commodified digital space for the secondhand. Levels of contradiction are found in their accessibility and our cultural taste-making through arbitrary assignment of value under competitive interactions among bidders.
